1-2-1 photography courses
Introduction
​
A selection of 1-2-1 courses for absolute beginner through to intermediate photographers. If you would like to give a course as a gift, these are available in my shop. For residential courses at the award winning Mazzard Farm see this page and details for training for businesses cane be found here.

All courses take place either at the clients home, or on location e.g. Sidmouth, Beer. Shorter courses can be held at a location such as a cafe. For most courses I am happy to travel up to around half an hour or so from Honiton in East Devon; travel times over this may incur additional charges.

Full day masterclass
7 hours, camera users, beginner to intermediate
This course is aimed at giving beginner or intermediate photographers all the knowledge to make big steps forward in their photography.
​
Modules include how to shoot on Manual, how to compose better photos, how to focus better, understanding light as well as introductions to advanced techniques such as use of filters, exposure blending and post-processing. A guided photo shoot at a coastal location is also included.
This 1-2-1 session can be tailored to individual needs.

Creative photography masterclass
3.5 hours, camera users, intermediate level
This course is aimed at helping intermediate photographers develop their creative skills and can be tailored to individual needs. Topics could include using filters to create beautiful long exposures, how to do Intentional Camera Movement photography, capturing sunrises and sunsets, the basics of night sky photography etc.

Held at a suitable coastal or moorland location, this 1-2-1 session can be tailored to individual needs.

Sunset masterclass
2.5 hours, camera users, intermediate level
This course is aimed at helping intermediate photographers master the skills required to take breathtaking sunset photos.

Held on location at a suitable sunset, the session will cover practical skills in the use of filters, composition, bracketing, and the basics of post-processing in Adobe Lightroom.

This course provides all of the key skills to start utilising the full power of your camera and start to move from taking snaps to photos to be proud of.

Guided location shoot
3.5 or 7 hours, camera users, intermediate level
Often the best way for intermediate photographers to improve quickly is to be coached during a location shoot.
At selected coastal or moorland locations, I will guide you through how I approach a location shoot from start to finish, including location choice (based on weather and light), choice of shot, composition options, filter choice and camera settings, all the way through to taking the shot.
By giving you an insight into my thought processes, I will help you to move your photography to a new level. .
